PROGRAM & EVENT POLICIES

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

Read our latest COVID-19 event guidelines here.

REFUND POLICY

YNPN Chicago does not offer refunds unless a program is canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. As a volunteer-run nonprofit organization, all event fees help support our work of providing programs and resources to young professionals. Thank you for understanding!

WAITLIST POLICY

New in 2020, YNPN Chicago is introducing a waitlist for events. If an event is at capacity/sold out, you can RSVP for the waitlist and will be notified by email if a spot becomes available. You will then need to register for the event in a timely manner.

PHOTOGRAPHY RELEASE

By attending a YNPN Chicago event, the attendee grants YNPN Chicago permission to use his/her likeness in a photograph in any and all publications and materials without payment or consideration made to them. The attendee also releases YNPN Chicago of any liability, claims, demands, damages, actions and causes of action arising from or connected in any way with the use of the photograph(s).

HARDSHIP POLICY

As part of our mission, YNPN Chicago aims to provide affordable professional growth opportunities to all nonprofit professionals and supporters. We keep event fees as low as possible and charge a fee that helps to cover our costs. Individual event fees are not meant to prevent any member or interested person from attending.

Therefore, if you find that a particular cost prohibits your involvement, please fill out this form. To learn more about your eligibility for a hardship waiver contact our Executive Co-Chairs.

STATEMENT OF INCLUSIVITY

As a part of our commitment to developing and sustaining a vibrant nonprofit community, we strive to create an environment of mutual respect.

YNPN Chicago embraces and values the diversity of all our participants, supporters, and members. As an organization, we affirm all people regardless of their age, culture, abilities, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, marital status, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.

As a part of our commitment to developing and sustaining a vibrant nonprofit community, we strive to create an environment of inclusivity through these principles:

We respect and affirm the dignity of each individual in our community by valuing differences and embracing diversity as a strength.

We commit to providing welcoming and inclusive spaces for current and aspiring young nonprofit professionals

to learn, grow, and connect.

We proactively develop events that are physically accessible and highlight Chicago’s neighborhoods.

We challenge ourselves to articulate bias and widen access to programs and resources beyond our immediate circles.
