On Tuesday, February 26th, Chicago will be electing a new Mayor, 50 Aldermen, and a new city Treasurer.
The decisions made at City Hall have a profound effect on our organizations and the people that we serve.The Mayor appoints the Board of Education, who govern Chicago Public Schools. They propose a budget and makes decisions about allocations of city resources. Aldermen propose legislation, vote on the budget, approval of mayoral appointees.
