For 2021, YNPN Chicago has made the decision to move to a suggested donation model for our virtual events. As an organization, our mission is to provide accessible professional development, resources, and networking opportunities for our community. We are grateful that our events have continued to be a valued space in the remote setting. As we work to provide these opportunities, we have chosen to move towards a suggested donation route for some of our events.
As you may know, when our events were in person, they included a ticket price which helps cover the costs of events (speakers, insurance, venues/Zoom subscription) and other organizational expenses. As we continue virtual programming for the foreseeable future, we will be providing an opportunity for our members to participate in suggested donations. On our website, you will be given several ticket levels, including a $0 ticket. All tickets will give the same access to events, but it allows you to donate what you can to support YNPN Chicago.
We will continue to host events that will only have free tickets (ex. Leadership Institute info sessions), while our fundraising events (ex. Holiday Social) will have a set pricing model. We appreciate your understanding and feedback as we roll out this new model, and look forward to seeing you in 2021!
