Crash Course Introduction to Raiser's Edge

Raiser's Edge Crash Course

This program is designed for individuals who:

  • Have little or zero Raiser’s Edge experience
  • Are job-seekers, especially those looking to get into development roles
  • Need a refresher course
  • Lack sufficient training from their current employer

This is a YNPN Chicago members-only event with very limited tickets. Secure your spot today! Not a member? Learn more about becoming a YNPN Chicago member here.

Raiser’s Edge (Blackbaud* platform) is one of the most widely used donor databases for relationship management and fundraising in the nonprofit sector.

Without formal experience or training in Raiser’s Edge, YNPN Chicago members reported feeling less prepared for their roles and less competitive in the job market. Professional training can be incredibly costly, upwards of $300 per day, making it inaccessible to many of our members and nonprofit colleagues. YNPN Chicago has heard your plea!

YNPN Chicago is thrilled to announce our first-ever, one-day Raiser’s Edge Workshop! This program, costing only $30, will provide beginners and job-seekers with a full-day overview of Raiser’s Edge via a live stream webinar. All attendees will receive a certificate of completion, certified by Nonprofit Software Specialists.

This program will be presented virtually by Felicia Terry, founder of Nonprofit Software Specialists.

Workshop topics will include:

  • Raiser’s Edge Basics
  • Entering Constituent Information
  • Viewing Gift Record Screens
  • Queries
  • Reports
  • How to add this Raiser’s Edge experience/certificate to your resume
  • How to interview for a position that requires Raiser’s Edge experience

All participants will receive:

  • Participant handouts/slides
  • Certificate of completion (issued by Nonprofit Software Specialists)**
  • Participant access to the copy of the Zoom workshop recording

Room Set-Up:

Attendees will enter through the MAKE Offices entrance on the 14th floor. There will be two large screens, tables, and chairs. To create a shared learning environment, encourage questions, and facilitate networking, all participants will be seated together in one meeting room YNPN Chicago board members will be present to help facilitate.

Program Format:

The content will be delivered in the form of a private, live Zoom webinar facilitated by Felicia Terry, founder of Nonprofit Software Specialists. Attendees will be able to ask the instructor a select number of questions during the session, similar to the style of a typical in-person session. Nonprofit Software Specialists discourages students from the use of their personal laptops during workshop to prevent from distraction from the training up on the screen. However, if you are more comfortable bringing your personal laptop for any reason, you are welcome to do so. There will be WiFi available.

All participants will receive handouts of the slides and tips-and-tricks with ample space for note taking.
