The Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management

History: In 1997, North Park University conducted a comprehensive research study to determine the educational needs of Chicago area nonprofit leaders. The results were clear: Chicago needs a center dedicated to providing nonprofit leaders with professional development and networking opportunities. In 1999, the Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management was founded thanks to an endowment established in honor of Nils Axelson.

Mission: To enhance performance and effectiveness of individuals and organizations in the nonprofit sector through education, service and resources

One project/aspect of your organization you are most proud of:  The Axelson Center is one of the two most comprehensive nonprofit centers in the country. Annually, we provide professional development training to over 1,000 leaders, and resources to over 20,000.
