When he was in the fourth grade, Dixon Galvez-Searle sat at his desk and penned an epic science fiction story on loose-leaf paper. It wasn't a school assignment, just something he was compelled to do. Ever since then, Mr. Galvez-Searle has considered writing to be the most important, interesting, and engaging work in the world. He's written magazine articles for advertising pros and detailed reports for nonprofit organizations; newsletters for social workers and annual reports for individual funders; blog entries for comics fans and bits and pieces of a novel for himself. Mr. Galvez-Searle has also developed and taught a writing class for a literacy center in his community. He adores the written word and wants to share his enthusiasm for it for decades to come. |
