This workshop is perfect for emerging nonprofit professionals or experienced professionals looking to gain an understanding of the basics of Development. 

Discussion priorities include giving USA statistics and what it means in today’s economy, understanding why people give, and what determines philanthropic priority. 
The workshop will run from 6 - 7:15p and will be immediately followed by a wine & cheese networking session until 8pm. 
Workshop Objectives: 
* Review basics to build a foundation for a solid fund-raising initiative 

* Discuss the elements of a fund-raising plan 
* Understand the four principles of case, leadership, prospect, and plan
